How long is the Virginia Creeper Trail?
The Virginia Creeper Trail is 34 miles long, with Damascus located near the midpoint. The current ride from Abingdon to our shop in Damascus is about 17 miles. Currently the eastern half is uder construction but will reopen on March 31, 2027.
What is the trail surface like?
The trail surface is generally crushed limestone and cinders, with conditions varying by section.
How long should I allow for a ride?
Ride time depends on your route, pace, stops, and shuttle plan. Current shuttle time to Abingdon trailhead is 25 mins. You can expect 2-3 hours for the return trip. Contact the shop and we can help you choose a schedule that fits your group.
