Adventure
Damascus Tours has several day trips planned
for 2004 to
various unique places in the region. How about a day spent
looking at rare plants and wildflowers, birding the creeks
and meadows and learning about the endangered mussels at The
Pinnacle Natural Area Preserve? Maybe a vigorous hike along
an old logging railroad bed to a spectacular waterfall? Or
perhaps a day-long canoe trip down the Clinch River to visit
Cleveland Island Preserve for a hands-on learning experience
in mussel propagation? Or maybe a ridge top hike at
4000 feet along the Appalachian Trail to view astonishing
numbers and varieties of wildflowers at their peak of bloom? Or maybe
you'd like the more genteel activity of walking in a high
mountain bog learning about the endangered Bog Turtle and
avian habitat restoration, viewing crystal clear natural
springs bubbling up from middle-earth and leisurely strolling within an old growth conifer forest.

These are all activities that Adventure Damascus Tours
plans for 2004. Check out our Tour
Calendar page, give us a call or
e-mail us today and be a
part of the fun, learning and adventure.
