Local Birds Of Note - Picture and Description

Wallace CoffeyJoin Adventure Damascus Tours & The Nature Conservancy as we offer several birding trips designed for those who are birders seeking that special life-bird, to those who are just beginning to learn about the exciting world of birding and are ready to venture "beyond the backyard". Our tours will satisfy all types of birders and our birding tour leader, Wallace Coffey (left),  is one of the best known experts in the Southeast. Read more about him from his biography or e-mail him if you have specific birding questions.

For 2004 Adventure Damascus Tours will be scheduling several unique birding trips in our area. These trips will feature the varied bird habitats that the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Heart of Appalachia have to offer. Wintertime birding for hawks and eagles, a two-day song bird migration tour in spring, or an action packed day spent birding northern hardwood forests, southern Appalachian cove hardwoods, a high mountain bog and a 175-year old growth conifer forest.

Come for the weekend and enjoy one of our multi-day birding trips that cover some prime territory.  Or maybe you'd like to be notified about one of our many "spur of the moment" birding trips to see some of the unique and rare birds that appear in our region.

Whatever your birding level or interest includes, Adventure Damascus Tours will be ready to lead you on fun, educational and exciting birding tours. Check out our  Tours Calendar, give us a call or e-mail us for more details.
