We found this Redcheek
variation of the Jordan's Salamander (Plethodon
jordani) under a rock in the Great Smoky Mountains
National Park. It only exists in the Smokies and Nantahala
Mountains. A rare find indeed! |

This Yonahlossee Salamander
(Plethodon yonahlossee) was found near Shady
Valley, TN on Holston Mountain. Note the broad chestnut
stripe down the back. What a handsome guy he is indeed!
